10 Years of Honor and Bending: My Memories of “Avatar: The Last Airbender”

As of recently, I’ve become more open to blogging about storytelling on other mediums besides books. I feel that the more I talk about other stories that are being told in ways beyond the written word, I think it will make for a better attempt at engaging dialogue about such narratives and also to aid myself in becoming more well-rounded in that. My first venture out into doing so- on the television landscape- was when I provided my feedback on “Fresh Off the Boat” the weekend following its premiere. Now, in celebration of the decade since its premiere, I shall devote this post to my thoughts about one of my all-time favorite television series: “Avatar: The Last Airbender.”

Reflection: 6 Months (+2 Days) Since the Release of “A Moment’s Worth”

I can’t believe it’s been that long already.  I can’t believe it’s been six months since the release of my debut novel, A Moment’s Worth.  As I gaze upon every single one of the pages where it can be purchased, I think of how much time has passed since that faithful summer day.  It feels like a long time ago, but at the same time, it doesn’t.

Since the day of its release, not a whole lot has changed in my life.  I’m nowhere near famous, so I’m not being stalked or anything creepy of that capacity.  I can still go out and about and no one will do the double take in my direction- and in many ways, that’s a relief.  I can still be normal.  But, as recapped on several times before on my blog, the continual marketing for the book remains to be a challenge. Special Thursday Post: Thanksgiving Greetings and Anniversary Acknowledgment

I felt it be wisest to write up a quick post on this fine Thanksgiving Day.  To my fellow Americans, I want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!  Having become a published author this year, I have so much to be thankful for; the people- both here in the U.S. and abroad- who take the time to read my blog, the people who have bought and read my debut novel, and all the gracious blogs who have either done reviews on it and/or done features on me.  While  it may not be a lot though, nonetheless I am super grateful and humbled for all and any support coming my way.  So thank you so much!

On a side note, aside from today being Thanksgiving, today also marks an anniversary for me as well.  Today, November 27th, marks six months since the release of my short story, “The Shadows;” my first publication on Amazon.  While it’s not as big as my novel A Moment’s Worth, it’s still a special story to me.  It served as a mini vehicle for me and an experiment as well, to see if I’ll be able to use the Amazon platform without trouble when putting something online and available for the world to buy and read.  It turned out to be successful, and those who’ve read it have really enjoyed it.  If you haven’t read “The Shadows” yet and would like to, you can check it out by clicking here.

Once again if you’re reading this, thank you again for your support.  Keep an eye out for my regular Saturday post in a few days.
