I’ve always been known to be an “old soul.” I actually enjoy reading, I keep journals, I don’t like to go clubbing, I’m very selective about when I talk, I get along better with people who are older than me than people my own age, and so on.

I never thought I would find myself kicking off my Spring Break in this fashion. Two days ago, one of my favorite actors, Dante Basco, proposed a fan meet-up in Union Square in San Francisco. He was here in the Bay Area these last few days to attend screenings for the latest film he’s in, “Awesome Asian Bad Guys,” at the 2014 CAAMFest, and so he thought it would be a good idea to meet up with fans here in the area and just talk.

Maybe it’s wisest to make a point of saying that I was born and raised in the suburbs, so I’m accustomed to the semi-small town feel with knowing people who know everyone else and how we’re close without being squashed together in a physical kind of way.
